8,500 Step Challenge

Starting Monday, March 6th ending Sunday, April 30th

Many experts agree that the recommended step per day for older adults is 7,500-10,000.

Starting Monday, January 29th ending Thursday, January 29th

Our next fitness challenge you must complete 8,500 steps per day, or 59,500 per week for a 30 day period.

How it works?

  • Participants must complete 8,500 steps per day, 59,500 cumulative for the week, for a 30 day period.
  • Participants must use a tracking devise such as a fit bit, smart phone health app, pedometer or any fitness app that records your steps.
  • Log sheets will be at the fitness desk for you to record your steps or you may record your steps on a excel spreadsheet that we will provide.
  • All participants are on the honor system.
  • Participants must complete a registration form, available at the Fitness Desk.
  • Participants who successfully complete the challenge will receive a long sleeved t-shirt or a water bottle (as supplies last).
